Instrument & Electrical Technician

The Saranac Energy cogeneration facility, subsidiary of CalEnergy Generation,
is seeking an instrument and electrical technician for its Plattsburgh, NY location.
Will install, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair controls, lighting, communication,
DC and UPS systems including transmitters, transducers, analyzers,
pneumatic/electric valve actuators/positioners; maintain low and medium
voltage switchgear, motor controllers and transformers up to 100 MVA
and 115kV. Turbine generator and boiler controls include GE Mk V,
Foxboro I/A, A-B plc’s and continuous emissions monitoring equipment.
We operate natural gas and diesel generators, gas and steam turbines,
steam boilers, air compressors, protective relaying systems and a natural
gas transmission line.
Candidates should possess an Associate’s/Technical degree or equivalent
work experience, and must pass pre-employment physical and DOT drug
screening. Journeyman license, ISA certification and/or power plant
experience preferred.
