Maintenance Services Technicians

Reliant Energy is one of the nation’s most preferred energy providers, operating and

maintaining generation facilities that serve about 1.9 million retail electricity customers

in the U.S.  We seek Technicians who can travel and work primarily at East Coast

facilities including the Pittsburgh, Western PA and Northeastern Ohio areas. 

These individuals are multi-skilled mechanics who are qualified to perform as certified

boiler tube and power piping welders, industrial electricians, diesel mechanics,

instrument technicians or machinists. Work experience or certified education in one of

these trade disciplines must accompany a HS diploma/GED; good team/communication

skills; and ability to troubleshoot plant systems.  Successful candidates will be required to

demonstrate full journeyman-level capability as part of hiring process and successfully

complete company certification process as a welder, electrician or machinist within 2

years.  Requires successful completion of the EEI POSS test for Power Plant Operators

as well as the pulmonary function/respiratory fit test. Ability to work extended hours,

call-outs and variable schedules, including rotating shifts/weekends/holidays, is essential.
