Technician, Senior Fossil Instrument Control

For Reliant Energy’s Avon Lake Plant, a three-unit, 745 MW generating station located approx. 20 miles

west of Cleveland, we seek a Senior Fossil Instrument Control Technician. You will safely, efficiently and

cost effectively achieve maximum unit availability while abiding by environmental/ regulatory standards;

install/maintain/ modify instrument & control systems, environmental systems, plant chemistry and

auxiliary systems; and diagnose/resolve complex problems on steam power and automatic control

systems/instrumentation.

Requires a HS diploma/GED; complete understanding of operations/equipment including knowledge of

regulatory plant specific codes/standards; leadership qualities; knowledge of computer programs

(databases/spreadsheets/operating systems; Reliability Based Maintenance/Root Cause Analysis

knowledge; and an OH driver’s license. Post secondary education in related technical field; Third Class

Stationary Engineers License; 8-10 years of experience; and ABB Conductor NT knowledge desired.

Overtime/non-standard hours expected.
