Provider Relations Consultant

Capital BlueCross seeks a Provider Relations Consultant to service/ 

educate professional provider network.  You will research and resolve  

provider inquiries related to contract, payment and claim issues; act  

as primary liaison between providers and Capital in the investigation/ 

resolution of operational issues affecting provider satisfaction and  

performance; assist with design of initial and on-going provider  

education programs; conduct on-site training, focusing on  

administrative policies/procedures; and respond to questions/issues.

Requires 2+ years of experience in educating/servicing of provider  

network and develop-ment of educational programs/ materials;  

effective communication/presentation/coordination skills; ability to  

multi-task and meet deadlines; Microsoft Office/Access/Excel/ 

Powerpoint knowledge; and advanced problem-solving skills.  Also  

requires knowledge of provider

service issues; Medicare Reimbursement Policies; CMS 1500 claim form;  

medical terminology; and ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS coding structures.  A  

valid PA driver’s license and reliable source of transportation are  

necessary. A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Manage-ment or  

Business is preferred.
