Energy Service  Technician Electrician

Located in NEW FLORENCE-PA, Reliant Energy’s Seward Generating  

Station is a 24-hour, 7-day/week function manned on a rotating shift.  

We seek an Electrician to operate/maintain systems/equipment; report/ 

document irregularities in equipment performance and correct  

conditions; perform required maintenance in accordance with defined  

schedules; and assure environmental compliance.

The ability to perform low/medium/high voltage switchgear maintenance  

and testing should accompany experience in motor controls,  

maintenance and use of specialized preventive maintenance equipment;  

a high school diploma/GED; successful completion of appropriate EEI  

test; ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematic diagrams/ 

procedures/technical manuals; knowledge of steam power plant  

operations/power plant principles; ability to operate various  

switches/valves and knowledge of effect each has on overall  

operation. Prefer process control skills (ABB Infi 90); coal power  

plant and/or Circulating Fluidized Bed experience; and ability to  

calibrate various pressure/flow/temperature transmitters, tune signal  

driven pneumatic controllers, program Allen-Bradley PLC, and diagnose  

boiler control system.
