Energy Service Technician-Machinist

New Florence, PA

Located in NEW FLORENCE-PA, Reliant Energy’s Seward Generating Station is a

24-hour, 7-day/week function manned on a rotating shift.  We seek a Machinist to

troubleshoot and maintain systems/ equipment associated with electric generating facility;

perform maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting of mechanical

equipment; and machine parts to support plant operation. 

Requires successful completion of appropriate EEI test and core-skill/journeyman level tests,

and ability to determine root cause of events; perform corrective actions; interpret

blueprints/schematic diagrams/technical manuals; use hand/power tools and equipment;

fabricate parts from drawings using measurement tools; apply knowledge of steam power

plant operations and basic power plant principles; operate PCs and vehicles/equipment; and

maintain operating licenses/certifications. High School diploma/GED required; coal power

plant and/or Circulating Fluidized Bed experience is beneficial.
